Spent a year working under Scottish Government Health Workforce directorate & NHS GGC Medical Education.
During the Fellowship, gained experience with the use of PowerBI to develop data analytics dashboards for the analysis of national and regional healthcare performance metrics and outcomes. Additionally developed draft national medical workforce modelling dashboards for NES to estimate trainee workforce requirements.
Supported the development of the inaugural Gynaecology Onocology MDT app for the West of Scotland. Provided co-steer for the development of the Head & Neck Cancer MDT App development which went live in Aug 2023.
After proposing SERN at ENT Scotland Summer meeting, now lead on the national research network having completed the first national prospective project of looking at acute management and outcomes of patients presenting with sore throats. Continue to oversee additional national projects.
Have been on the organising committee for GGC Management & Leadership for Trainees group since 2019, organising and coordinating monthly meetings with local and national leaders.
Since ST3, I have been leading or at least overseeing the registrar oncall rota. This has evolved into an automated rota generating process with automated swap mechanisms and rota distribution based on the Microsoft365 Power Automate, OfficeScript and Excel.
In 2019/2020, was the regional Trainee rep for ENT registrars in West of Scotland.
CR for ENT in NHS GGC during early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, primarily supporting roster design for staff management.
I was the CR in Monklands Hospital, Lanarkshire.
