Sunquest ICE DayCase Electronic Discharge Summaries
After being provided with designer access to Sunquest ICE in Wexham Park Hospital, I designed an Electronic Discharge Document which replaced the paper discharge summaries that were in place. This improved communication with GPs immensely being timely and legible.
Endoscopic Imaging -> EPR
After collaborating with Olympus, using existing technologies within their Image Capture devices, including nCare, and Orion Clinical Portal, I enabled a process for clinic & theatre ENT endoscopy images to be transferred to the patient record. Prior practice was that images captured were never integrated with the electronic patient record. This improvement project enabled compliance with Head & Neck Cancer best practices, while also enabling existing digital capabilities.
West of Scotland MDT Platform
I contributed to the development of a Microsoft 365-based information platform supporting multidisciplinary cancer care.
As part of the project steering group, I worked with developers from Sword Group on user-interface design and supported end-user testing, including the use of Microsoft Power Apps and associated Microsoft 365 technologies.
The platform was initially developed within Gynaecology and subsequently adapted for use within the Head & Neck cancer service.
My role focused particularly on translating clinical requirements into practical digital workflows and ensuring that the resulting system was usable within the clinical environment.
